The Lighttpd configuration file can now be easily created using Buildout, a software build automation tool. This simplifies the process of setting up and configuring web servers using Lighttpd, a popular open-source web server.
The usage of this recipe can be seen in the example buildout.cfg provided. It should be noted that "lighttpdrecipe" and "buildoutjinja" are included as "develop". "lighty-conf" is set as a "part" in the buildout.cfg. Additionally, the "host", "redirect_from", and "redirect_to" are defined.
This recipe will generate a configuration file based on the input provided in the buildout.cfg. It will contain details such as the document-root, follow-symlink, and activate directory listing. It also includes a fastcgi.server and url.rewrite-once feature. Lastly, it has an expires setting for media, and a redirect for "www.example.com".
