This tool tests website stress and verifies validation with ease.
LoadWorm comprises of two main components. The first component, LoadWorm, navigates through a website by clicking buttons and entering data. It can exclude specified URLs and limit page visits and search depth to improve efficiency. However, the processing power required for these functions hinder it from acting as a web-loading tool.
Consequently, the second component, LoadMaster/Slave, was created to handle the job of a web-loading tool. It receives a list of URLs generated by LoadWorm, and commands numerous "slave" computers to hit these URLs at a modifiable pace. The "slaves" evaluate response times, successes, and failures while LoadMaster harvests and analyzes the data.
LoadWorm's functionality is controlled by a configuration file, while LoadMaster/Slave has both configuration file-controlled functionalities and a Tk-based GUI. LoadWorm and LoadMaster/Slave are compatible with Unix, Windows NT, Linux, Solaris, or a combination of these systems.
In conclusion, LoadWorm and LoadMaster/Slave represent a sophisticated solution for monitoring web performance and progressive web development. These tools are ideal for anyone wanting to improve web performance and gather insightful data from users' perspectives.
