This add-on for Firefox enables users to encrypt their text data within the browser prior to submitting it to a network.
To get started, simply follow these easy steps: first, highlight any part of the text you want to lock, then select 'Lock'. To unlock text, highlight the text (including the --BEGIN/END LOCKTHETEXT-- markers), then select 'Unlock'. You can even focus your cursor in an input/textarea field without any selection, and then select 'Lock' to lock all your editing text.
With the Lock The Text add-on, you can rest assured that your locked text can only be unlocked with the same passphrase. If your selection is in an input/textarea field, locked/unlocked text will replace your selection. And if your selection is not in an input/textarea field (such as an HTML email body or rich format doc), your locked/unlocked text will display in a new window.
It's important to note that the Lock The Text extension is cross-platform - it works on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. So no matter what kind of device you're using, you can trust Lock The Text to keep your text secure and your privacy protected. Try it out today!
