M-Audio Black Box introduces updated effects to enhance audio performance.
Additionally, users now have the option to update their DSP firmware, thanks to the inclusion of a new feature that simplifies the process. While the firmware update is not done during the driver installation, it's simple enough to complete. Just navigate to the Black Box control panel's "Presets & Firmware" tab, choose the desired firmware version, and click "Copy to Device." After a quick reboot, the firmware update is complete.
In addition to these improvements, the latest firmware update for the M-Audio Black Box offers a host of new features and upgrades. With a total of 40 amp models and 121 onboard effects, the Black Box boasts even more versatility and customization options than ever before. The device is now qualified as a Pro Tools M-Powered-compatible USB audio interface too, adding even more convenience for users.
One key feature is the addition of a "Shift" function, which enables users to access all of the new added features. The Black Box now includes a built-in compressor, noise gate, five different reverb types, and Amp Mid, along with expanded expression pedal assignments (expression pedal not included). There is even a feature that allows you to link presets to drumbeat or tempo.
Of course, there are some requirements to take into consideration when using the M-Audio Black Box. This update requires a Mac OS X 10.4.5, as well as Mac OS 10.4.4 PowerPC (G3-G4-G5). However, with these system specifications in place, users can enjoy all of the new features and updates that this firmware has to offer.
