The M-Audio Firewire 1814 Driver is a MIDI device driver designed for firewire devices. It allows for seamless connections and use of the M-Audio Firewire 1814 with compatible software applications.
There was also a concern where upgrading the firmware on the Project Mix I/O MIDI Application did not work with driver 1.7.1. This has now been resolved. Additionally, there were random reports that the Project Mix I/O reported being unable to communicate with HUI. The software now fixes this problem.
Moreover, a problem with the Project Mix I/O where the letter 'e' would occasionally appear in the lower right of the LCD has now been resolved. The software also fixes a problem where the signal that returns via ADAT is approximately 150 samples before the source signal on the ProFire Lightbridge.
The NRV-10 had a few issues that have also been resolved with this new release. The software now fixes an issue where the NRV-10 does not always wake up correctly when coming out of sleep mode. Additionally, the NRV-10 was reportedly showing that the unit must be power cycled after restart/startup for I/O to function. This problem no longer exists.
Finally, a problem where the FW 1.7.4 driver would trigger a reboot loop after installation of the driver on a Mac Pro and connecting any 1394 device has now been resolved. Overall, this new release of the M-Audio FireWire 1814 software has several important bug fixes that ensure that the software runs much more smoothly than before.
