Mac MPD Utility lets users create and break down LDraw Multi-Part Data file with ease.
One of the newest updates to Mac MPD Utility includes the ability to save preferences, such as auto-opening output with Finder or the default MPD viewer, metadata format and read/write state, display directives (WRITE, PRINT or none), comment style, author name, submodel separators, and more. You'll also appreciate the new and improved help menu and tips, which make using the app more straightforward.
Another notable feature this app offers is the automatic creation of a main model. If you select no main sub-model, one will be generated for you with every sub-model placed at 0,0,0 for later positioning. Plus, with the removal of the line length limitation during sub-model extraction (which was present in a previous version), creating models is now even more efficient.
Overall, Mac MPD Utility is an excellent choice for those who need to work with LDraw Multi-Part Data files, and its features make it a standout in the category of software for this purpose. While the experimental implementation of MPD importing is still a bit buggy, the other updates make it worth the upgrade. Give it a try and see for yourself!
