MacDVDOnDemand allows for remote DVD playback using the DVDPedia software.
Using Mac DVD On Demand, all you need to do is select a movie from the catalog, choose the remote Mac you want to play it on, and click play. To get started, you'll need to install two different bundles, one for the player that is hooked up to your TV, and the other for the laptop you'll use to select the movie and control the player.
The great thing about this software is that you can install both bundles if you plan on selecting and playing the movie on the same machine. Plus, MacDVDRemote is included, which is a standalone application that starts up when you choose your movie, allowing you to control playback as if you were on the remote machine.
All the keyboard shortcuts have been properly mapped, making it easy to navigate and control playback no matter where you are in the room. So, whether you're sitting on your couch or lying in your bed, you can select the movie you'd like to watch with ease using DVDPedia and have it start playing in no time.
The only requirement for this software is that it will only work with DVDPedia 3.0 due to the change in the plugin architecture. But if you have the right version, you can enjoy using Mac DVD On Demand to take your movie watching experience to the next level.
