Utilize Cisco IP/TV server to stream television videos effortlessly.
MacTV is designed as a web streamer and watching live television becomes more accessible than ever. It is an effective tool for both scheduled and on-demand video broadcasts. This software supports multiple IP/TV related services such as program listing displays, resizable video windows, presentation style and big screen display modes, and search capabilities to locate desired programs quickly.
Other features of MacTV include a Question Manager that allows viewers to ask relevant questions during live streams. With MacTV, viewers can also enjoy SlideCast, where slides are presented alongside multicast videos. Users can also use the software's keyword search feature to find specific programs.
This software supports MPEG1 and H.261 streams viewable using a built-in QuickTime controller, while MPEG4 streams can be viewed using NetShow helper app. The software's Strip Chart also shows graphical representations of frame rate, bandwidth, and loss rate.
MacTV is also compatible with Pixstream, Polycom, and VCON, making it a versatile solution for enterprise streaming. However, there are some services that are not supported, such as MPEG2 streams that are not viewable with QuickTime 5.0. Password-protected streams can't be viewed, and SlideCast is not available for video-on-demand programs or WebPresenter. Overall, MacTV is an excellent software for streaming video content with a significant number of features that are beneficial to users.
