This software allows you to add comments, due dates, projects, and priority to your messages.
One of the standout features of MailTags is its ability to use this metadata as the basis for Spotlight searches, Smart Mailboxes, and Mail Rules. This means you can easily find all messages related to a particular project, or ones that have a due date coming up. You can even create Smart Mailboxes that show you messages that meet specific criteria, such as those that need your attention over the next few days.
MailTags also integrates seamlessly with Mail Act-On, which allows you to tag messages quickly and easily. You can use simple keystrokes or create rules for receiving mail, which means you can stay focused on the work that matters most to you. For example, you could create an Act-On rule that defers the due date of a message for five days with the press of a key.
It's worth noting that MailTags Leopard (2.2) is still a beta software. This means that not all of its functionality will be in place, and there may be issues with stability and reliability. As such, it's recommended that you maintain backups of your email data or avoid using MailTags in critical situations.
Finally, it's important to keep in mind that MailTags Leopard (2.2) is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). If you're running an older version of Apple's operating system, you'll need to upgrade before you can use MailTags effectively.
