Mantaray Console is a server-less communication and messaging software for JAVA (JMS), C++, and .NET applications. It is peer-to-peer and distributed, providing a reliable messaging solution.
Installation is fairly straightforward. Simply extract the Mantaray file under a directory of your choice (referred to as MANTA_HOME), and set the VM argument with the path to the Mantaray configuration file. This file, default_config.xml, can be found in the config directory. If you need more detailed instructions or assistance with setting the mantaConfig argument, refer to the MantaRay User Guide.
There are also a number of optional settings you can configure, including choosing a name for your MantaRay domain to prevent collisions between peers, setting a unique peer name for each MantaRay peer, and changing the multicast IP address and port to ensure that only peers in the same domain are discovered by the MantaRay Auto Discovery plugin.
To use Mantaray Console, you'll need JRE 1.4.2_8 or higher. With its easy installation process and thorough documentation, this messaging solution could be a valuable addition to your app.
