This software allows for quick data entry, circulation history, inventory management, and user level security. Connect to Library or Congress and manage volunteers, issue circulations and overdue fines, and maintain equipment inventory easily. It is a multi-user network solution with optional member circulation management and barcode printing features.
The main resource maintenance window of Media Library Manager lists all items in an accession number order, making it easy to search for and find specific resources. It also enables you to access existing resources by simply typing the accession number in the text box and pressing the TAB key. You can also use a barcode scanner for added convenience.
To view and search resources by title order, you can left-click on the Title tab. Additionally, the Add button lets you create and enter new resources, while the Edit button allows you to modify any highlighted resource with ease. In the window below, you can add new resources or edit existing ones. If you are unsure of the subject number, you can click on the search button to open the Subject Select window. Once you find or add the subject, click the Select button to add it to your resource.
To check out a resource, key in or scan the accession number, and then select the resource by clicking the Check Out button. Then, search for the member by entering their name (last name first) in the field provided. The program will automatically enter the relevant details for you. If the member is not in the current list, you can add their details at this stage. Once added, the member will be assigned a number that the system will utilize to track circulation, history, and overdue fines.
Checking in a resource or renewing its circulation is as easy as clicking a button. Furthermore, the program offers a batch check-in feature for individual members, making it even more convenient to manage resources at your church library.
