MeetWeb is a versatile online platform suitable for managing all kinds of events such as local meetings, workshops, and global conferences.
The standard package of MeetWeb comes with four embedded modules which include Hotels and hotel reservations, Papers for paper submission and manuscript uploading as well as paper reviewing, and topic/session support. It also comes with RusInvoices, which is specifically designed for preparing Russian Invoices for citizens of the Commonwealth of Independent States and RusVisas, an appliance form for Russian Visa and passport pages upload.
All the modules can be activated or deactivated during the installation and operational stages via MeetWeb's user-friendly web interface. The system requirements include PHP 4.3 or higher, PHP 5.0 or higher, MySQL 4.1 or higher, and PostgreSQL 7.0 or higher.
The installation procedure is straightforward: First, you need to unpack the application archive into the server directory and rename the MeetWeb directory if necessary. Second, run the program in the browser and follow the step-by-step instructions.
The latest version of MeetWeb comes with some exciting changes. For example, a module's config file is now generated from file config.php.dist, and dynamic local rendering of module order management has been added to the installation page and system configuration page. Additionally, there is a new random-password generation tool at manager profile-related pages, and a verbose mode has been added to the storage system for debugging purposes. Finally, obsolete $DB variable definition at system.php.dist has been removed.
