Scripture memorization software featuring 800+ verses in KJV, NKJV, and NIV versions, along with customizable verses and Awana handbook lists. Offers testing and puzzle tools for a fun learning experience.
In its new version 2, users can now customize their own verses and print them. Custom lists of verses can also be created or one can choose from the predefined lists based on the Awana handbooks (Sparks through JV).
Using two tools, the Windows program includes a testing mechanism and puzzles for interactive learning. Multiple users (up to 50) can track their progress separately.
The testing mechanism is comparable to an electronic chalkboard that displays the whole verse. By clicking on the test button, a few words will be erased, leaving blank lines to fill in. The user can type the whole word or just a few characters, as defined in the parameters. By doing this, the test moves to level 2 where more words are erased. This progresses through 5 levels until all words have been erased and refilled 5 times. After this, the user is almost assured that they have memorized the verse and can progress to the next one in their custom list or Awana handbook.
MemoryMan further offers two puzzle modes: "jigsaw" and "sliding." Both of which have a picture in the background and each puzzle piece represents a word from the verse. After scrambling the puzzle, the user races against the clock to put it back together.
In conclusion, MemoryMan is an effective tool for helping individuals of all ages to enjoy memorizing scripture. The full version is priced at $12.50 and includes all verses and sound effects. The non-registered version gives limited access to only a handful of Bible verses.
