Message Notes is a Thunderbird add-on that allows users to add notes to their messages.
After installing Message Notes, you'll see a box below the message pane where you can add your notes. The best part is that you can configure the notes pane to be visible all the time, none of the time, or only when a note is present. So, you can choose the setup that works best for you.
It's important to note that you'll need Thunderbird 0.8 or higher to run this extension. Once you have it installed, you can take advantage of all the great features, including the ability to show/hide the notes box with a single keystroke (shift-F9). You can also add single line notes (ctrl-F9), edit them (shift-ctrl-F9), and delete them.
Finally, if you need to find a note quickly, you can use the search function (ctrl-F3) and search next (shift-ctrl-F3) to navigate through your notes. And if you have any orphaned notes, you can easily clear them all with the "Clear all orphaned notes" feature. Overall, Message Notes is a great addition to Thunderbird for anyone who wants to keep track of notes alongside their email messages.
