This Firefox add-on enables users to access a range of maps and mapping tools without leaving the browser. The suite of in-built features makes it easy to navigate and explore locations.
The software allows you to import and export KML, GPX, minimap xml file, and CSV (export only). You can view traffic information as well as drag and drop KML files. There are also local search features, as well as Google, Yahoo, and Live Local directions. You can even view locations in Google Earth, Tagzania, Platial, Geourl, and many more.
All address and location points that you save are stored locally for later use. The tool comes with two mapping components, with the main and most powerful one being the minimap sidebar. With this sidebar, you can drag and drop addresses or locations you find on web pages, and they will be automatically located and added to your saved address list.
You can launch the Mini Map Sidebar from the toolbar icon, which can be customized and dragged into your toolbar, as well as from a statusbar icon and the view sidebar menu. Additionally, the software comes with a main browser Map Tab for viewing a larger map. This tab can be accessed from the statusbar or by selecting 'Map Tab: Locate Address...' in the right-click context menu.
Overall, the Minimap Addon is an invaluable tool for anyone who needs to navigate the web and keep track of locations. With its many features and user-friendly interface, it is a must-have for anyone who wants to make the most out of their browsing experience.
