Version: 0.2.0MotionPic is a panorama creator tool.
License: GPL v3
Operating System: Linux
Use your digital camera to scan across a landscape and motionpic will create a panoramic picture for you.
MotionPic is a currently only a commandline program that will process a video into a picture for you.
It is set up in such a way that other operations can be easily added. As long as it involves reading a movie and writing out a picture or another movie.
Current ideas for new functionality are:
- Stereoscopic pictures
- Detecting (and removing) non-static objects. Say you want a picture of a building, but people keep walking in front of it.
- Noise reduction / resolution enhancement. Let you camera stare at some object for a while and use that to create a picture of better quality/resolution than the original movie had.
- Create a gui (preferably pygtk) so the process can be manually tweaked.
MotionPic is written in C++, uses scons as a build system and bazaar for version control. It is licensed under the GPLv3. It currently has no home other than launchpad. Questions, ideas and patches are welcome.
