Mugshot-Amarok is a script for Amarok that adds support for the Mugshot Music Radar.
The requirements for using this script include having a Mugshot client and account, in addition to Python, pygtk, dbus, and dbus python bindings. The usage of this script is simple: just enable it in the Amarok script manager, and you're good to go. Mugshot doesn't require any configuration, and you won't need to restart it because the script will begin to work automatically as soon as the next song starts playing.
One thing to note is that the script works by pretending to be Rhythmbox, which is an alternate music player that's fully supported by Mugshot. This means that there may be problems with running this script and Rhythmbox simultaneously. Additionally, not all the metadata exported by Rhythmbox is exported by this script, so some information might be missing. However, Mugshot doesn't seem to require the missing data anyway.
There could also be issues with tracks that use exotic character encodings. In terms of what's new in this release, the update simply uses "/usr/bin/env" instead of "/bin/env," since the former is more commonly used. Overall, if you're an Amarok user and want to take advantage of Mugshot Music Radar, consider using the mugshot-amarok script.
