The Multi-Filename Editor is a tool that enables users to alter numerous filenames in a spreadsheet format swiftly. It provides a range of editing options, including Find/Replace, Copy/Paste, and other commands, allowing for quick and convenient changes. The final step involves pressing a button to Rename or Copy the files.
Before now, editing the name of a single file was easy with Microsoft, but renaming multiple files usually meant going back to DOS. However, with the Multi-file Filename Editor, users can select files from Explorer and edit any name with a double click of the mouse. Furthermore, it offers features like Upper case, Lower case, Proper case, and Append to all or a selected subset of the files.
Cut and Paste features are available for copying data within the spreadsheet or to and from other programs. The software also provides a Find and Replace feature, which allows users to make changes to strings within filenames. The benefit of using this software is that it manages editing on the filename and not the extension. This feature helps prevent users from accidentally making a file inoperable. In the same vein, it simplifies appending a string to the end of a file name and doing Replace All.
With Multi-Filename Editor, users also have the option to use file extensions in the editing operations. Once the user is satisfied with the new filenames, files and directories can easily be renamed or copied. Copying files is currently limited to files alone.
The Multi-Filename Editor forms part of the CAVU Software Productivity package, which is a set of utilities and shell extensions that expand users' ability to manage the information on their computer. Users don't have to worry about installation and uninstallation issues as they can install (and uninstall) all CAVU products. Moreover, it is available at a half-price offer if users opt for the CAVU Productivity Package. In summary, the Multi-Filename Editor is an excellent software that takes the hassle out of filename editing, copying, and renaming.
