Multi-Protocol Remote Login middleware enables SSH, telnet, and local logins from the login: prompt.
MPRL is highly versatile and currently supports telnet, ssh, and /bin/login. The syntax of this application is in the following format: [protocol:]user[@host][:port]. This makes it crisp and effortless to use. MPRL is capable of supporting valid logins such as buanzo - Normal local login: /bin/login gets called, [email protected] - SSH protocol by default: /usr/bin/ssh gets called and ssh:[email protected].
In order to use this excellent middleware application, Portable OpenSSH (recommended) is a prerequisite. The latest release from MPRL has been tried and tested and now, it works flawlessly. Several multiple bugs that existed within the previous versions have been fixed in addition to eliminating vulnerabilities.
The file that contains MPRL's source code is named 'buennoc.[ch],' and a meticulous error-detection and error-reporting routine called buennoc has been built from scratch. Additionally, some error codes have been added to parse_mprl_conf() for a better user experience. These modifications came into effect because a prototype was modified to add a referenced variable containing an error code, which is defined in parser.h.
To sum it all up, MPRL is an excellent middleware application that allows SSH, telnet, and local logins from the login: prompt. It's an ideal choice for users looking for a versatile middleware application that's both user-friendly and easy to use.
