Multi_Search is a Superkaramba desktop widget that allows users to easily search for files and documents on their computer. It provides quick access to search functions and streamlines the process of locating important data.
What does Multi_Search do? This widget has the ability to search almost any search engine directly from your desktop. It also allows running terminal commands. When performing a search, the theme launches your default browser (which can be set up in the right-click Configure Theme menu). By clicking on the icon to the left of the search box, you can easily switch between search engines. Through the right-click Configure Theme menu, you can add your own search engines, complete with a search URL and favicon.
In addition to adding new search engines, the widget also allows you to edit and remove existing ones, as well as change the icon associated with each search engine. There are also eight different backgrounds available that can be accessed through the Configure Theme menu.
Requirements for Multi_Search include KDE. In its latest release, Multi_Search now enables users to add browsers in addition to the default one. Also, the latest version provides users with the ability to check for new releases and download them. If you have any issues, comments, or feedback, the developer would be happy to hear from you.
