Murrina is a theme designed for the GNOME desktop environment, with a smooth and modern appearance. It provides a simple yet elegant look and comes in various color options.
For those unfamiliar with GNOME, it is an international effort to develop an entire desktop environment for free. GNOME's complete graphical user interface (GUI) sits on top of a computer operating system and includes software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on programs that handle file handling, window, and task management. GNOME can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, but most notably with Linux, as well as part of the Java Desktop System in Solaris.
Originally, GNOME was an acronym for GNU Network Object Model Environment, though this acronym is deprecated. One of GNOME's pillars is simplicity, usability, and making things "just work," simplifying the entire process for users.
