Museek is a Linux-based soulseek client, compatible with other platforms except for MacOSX and FreeBSD 4.
This latest release of Museek includes several new features and bug fixes. For instance, the Museeq component now has search filters, improved user info icons, a place-in-queue display, an away mode toggle, and a check privileges function. It also comes with scripting support via QSA (QtScript for Applications), some online alerts, and various bug fixes. The Museekd component now lets you share to buddy only mode, display place-in-queue, use an away mode, and includes fixes for listener code errors that could cause connection issues. It even plays a small game of ping pong with the server to determine the time difference on connect, which is used for private message timestamps. Again, a variety of bugs have also been fixed. Lastly, Muscan and Musetup both received minor bug fixes and enhancements.
While Museek may not yet be perfect, it's a promising client for Soulseek users who want to explore their music tastes on Linux. If you're interested, give it a try and see how it works for you!
