myAmavis is a web-based interface designed for amavisd-new that enables users to manage their email security and anti-spam protection.
In addition, myAmavis allows for the configuration of access extensions for final delivery of matching mails. It also has per user quarantine management, whitelisting/blacklisting sender addresses (entries are managed per recipient address), and a small statistics module. The web frontend uses JavaScript/AJAX, so your browser must support this. Online help is included in the web-frontend.
The installation process is straightforward. First, make sure you have enabled SQL storage and SQL lookup in your amavisd-new configuration. PostgreSQL is used as the database backend for myAmavis, but you can easily change this. Make sure your MTA does not rewrite recipient addresses before giving mail to amavis. You'll need a webserver with PHP support and support for PostgreSQL. Put the contents of the "htdocs" directory anywhere below your webroot and modify the file ".htaccess" and "config.php" according to your needs.
Store the files from the "scripts" directory into /usr/local/sbin, and modify those scripts according to your environment. Finally, add the two lines from the file install/sudoers_addon to your sudo configuration. Please note that you MUST use Basic Authentication to access myAmavis. Overall, myAmavis is a useful software with robust features for amavisd-new frontend management.
