Python-based extensions are available for Ubuntu and Gnome's file manager. These extensions provide additional functionality to the file manager, enhancing the user experience.
The extensions included in this project are copy-to-browsed-place.py and move-to-browsed-place.py, which allow you to copy or move all the selected files/folders to a browsed destination, just with a right-click. In addition, add-to-audacious-playlist.py allows you to add all the selected audio files to the audacious playlist with just a right-click.
Fortunately, installation is simple. Firstly, install the package "python-nautilus" with the following command: "sudo apt-get install python-nautilus". Next, navigate to your home directory, press "ctrl+h" to view hidden files and proceed to create a folder by the name of ".nautilus". Then, create a new directory within this folder named "python-extensions"(using the "ctrl+shift+n" shortcut). After downloading the python file (".py"), move it into the "python-extensions" folder that you just created. Following this, right-click on the file, select "properties", head to the "permissions" tab and check "allow executing files as a program". Lastly, enter the following command in the terminal to restart nautilus: "killall nautilus". And that's it! You can now enjoy the added benefits of these extensions.
