NetBSD LiveCD is a self-booting LiveCD that includes the complete NetBSD/i386 operating system in a single package.
The default desktop environment is KDE. However, the software also has another exciting window manager option - pekwm. This feature is an excellent addition as it provides users with the ability to tailor their experience to their liking fully.
The LiveCD is designed to make the user experience as seamless as possible. When you boot the LiveCD, it will automatically attempt to obtain an IP address through DHCP. If, for any reason, this fails, the software will require you to manually configure your network settings.
If you need assistance or guidance, the NetBSD Guide provides all the necessary information. In addition, the LiveCD comes with two pre-set user accounts - root and user. Both users come with the same password: NetBSD.
If you log in as the user, you have the added benefit of being able to use sudo(8). This feature enables the user to execute any command as if it were being run by the root user. The NetBSD LiveCD is an excellent tool with a multitude of benefits and features to enjoy.
