nLive Core is a web-based Linux server software with a user-friendly interface for easy navigation and management.
There are a few technical specification differences between the Free Edition and the commercial version. For instance, the Free Edition can only process up to 360 events per minute, but it supports bursts of events at higher rates. It will shut off event processing if an event rate stays higher for too long. To maintain a sustained continuous operation of the Free Edition, you need to limit the input packet rate to maintain the event rate below this limit. Additionally, the Free Edition only supports one packet analysis ethernet interface, and the database cannot be kept for longer than seven days. Finally, the console can only deploy one sensor.
In this latest release, Host resolution was added to nLive Core. Overall, if you're in need of a free Linux server-based product with a web-based user interface console, nLive Core Free Edition might just be the software you've been looking for.
