An RTF-compatible note pad software for editing and creating notes.
One minor drawback is the registration screen that pops up at startup.
The latest release boasts outstanding features, such as better note management. Users can now select where they want to save new notes before saving them. Additionally, users can reload and open files in Finder directly from the toolbar.
The path now appears at the bottom, and a proxy icon is now available, making it easier to create aliases, remove files from the library, or duplicate files. Users can command-click on the proxy icon to display the path of the file.
Other notable improvements include the ability to open the enclosing folder for a note by holding down the option key. Users can undo file name input, and a style sheet bug has been fixed. CPU usage is lower, and the list updates automatically after users change a file's name or folder and save.
The new update also features a new icon, the ability to preview styles in the style sheet window, and the ability to open, import, and save RTF files. Users can now increase and decrease font size from 9 to 72 and customize size using the "Other" options.
The format panel now displays a preview of selected formatting options. Finally, the update includes "#pragma backgroundtasks false" to enhance performance.
Overall, Note Editor is a must-have software for note-taking and organization. Its convenient features, extensive functionality, and user-friendly interface make it a top-notch notepad application.
