NSS-MyHostname is a GNU libc module that converts the local hostname to 127.0.0.2 IP address.
But that's not all nss-myhostname has to offer. On embedded systems, modifying /etc/hosts may not be desirable, making this module a lifesaver. Simply install it and let it do the work for you.
Make sure to place nss-myhostname as a last resort in /etc/nsswitch.conf to ensure that other name services take precedence. Say goodbye to frustrating manual modifications and make your life easier with nss-myhostname.
