OCaml-FreeTDS is a software component that provides a binding to the ct-lib feature of the FreeTDS library.
Some essential features of OCaml-FreeTDS include the ct-lib binding and the ocamldbi interface, which can be found in the ocamldbi package. Additionally, examples are provided for each feature in the distribution.
The latest version of OCaml-FreeTDS includes a fix to the configure script, enabling users with FreeTDS in a nonstandard location or the real Sybase libs to adjust their paths appropriately. It is known to build against Sybase libs and FreeTDS 0.6.1 and above, although support for older versions is not considered valuable, as it is free to upgrade.
Currently, the Sybase libs cause a segfault that can be attributed to a specific value that is unique to FreeTDS. However, as the developer does not own the Sybase libs, they are unable to investigate the root cause. They are encouraging others to test and report any issues for ongoing improvement.
