Octaviz is a visualizing platform designed for Octave programming language that facilitates the generation of high-quality graphical representations of data, aiding data analysis and exploration.
Thanks to these functions, even novice users can accomplish common visualization tasks such as 3D surface plots, contour plots, meshes, etc., without needing to learn about VTK. Despite still being in active development, Octaviz is already highly usable and stable, having implemented all major features of the wrapper, such as wrapped VTK classes, array exchange between Octave and VTK, callbacks, and experimental CygWin support.
Perhaps most impressively, Octaviz's Python examples included in VTK can be used in Octave with no necessary modifications, allowing for a seamless transition between these two popular languages. To further assist users in getting started, approximately 70 Python examples have been converted to Octave and included in the system—ensuring users have access to the tools they need to create stunning visualizations with ease.
