OneonOne software provides the ability to compare folders or volumes, simplifying the process of finding differences between them.
To select a starting folder or volume, a user can use the 'Choose Folder' button found in each case. However, it is important to note that selecting a large hard disk may cause memory problems. A user can also drag and drop a folder on each of the windows for ease of use.
On a PC, closed folders are marked by a + sign, while on Mac, they will be marked by a triangle tag. Users can expand the folder by clicking on the symbols as usual. When a user lands on the folder they wish to investigate, they can double click it, and its structure will be displayed on the right.
Memory shown for folders is the total sum of all the included files in the folder and its subfolders. Users can use the examine button to check if the folders are identical. If the folders are identical, which means that all the folders and files have the same name, memory use and creation date, users will be notified.
If the folders are not identical, another window will open, and a report of all differences will be displayed. The user will also be provided with the means of adjusting the differences to bring the folders to the same state.
The software does come with some limitations, namely that it is only free for 14 days. Overall, OneonOne is a great tool for those who need to compare and synchronize folders on their computers.
