OpenIB offers an efficient and scalable Infiniband networking software stack that is both reliable and open-source.
One of the primary focuses of OpenIB is to foster an open development environment that encourages community participation, with the ultimate goal of getting the OpenIB stack integrated into the 2.6 Linux kernel tree and the various Linux distributions. The OpenIB server provides users with the development tools they need to participate in the project, including a Subversion code repository, Bugzilla bug reporting, and mailing lists that include monthly archives.
OpenIB.org itself provides a wealth of information about the project, including links to various members of the project, downloads, IRC details, and the latest news on the open InfiniBand stack. In this new release, numerous enhancements and bugfixes have been made to continue improving the functionality of the software stack. With OpenIB, users have access to a reliable, scalable, and high-performing Infiniband networking software stack for Linux that is continually being improved and updated by the community.
