OptiVec provides vector and matrix functions for Borland Delphi programming. It enhances math calculations and improves performance with its optimized algorithms, supporting a variety of data types and processors.
The package includes functions for statistics and analysis, such as derivatives, integrals, extrema, and interpolation, as well as techniques for Fast Fourier Transform for efficient convolutions, correlation analyses, and spectral filtering. OptiVec also offers curve fitting for a wide range of model functions, from simple linear regression to general linear models, and graphical representations of data in Cartesian coordinates.
Additional features of OptiVec include matrix operations like multiplication, inversion, LU decomposition, singular value decomposition, 2D FFT, and eigenvalues. Furthermore, the package includes complex number math functions for all floating-point and integer data types.
What impressed me most about OptiVec is the vectorized implementation in Assembler, which makes its functions on average 2-3 times faster than compiled Delphi source code of the same functionality. Additionally, the numerical accuracy is often improved. The software is optimized for Pentium/Pentium II, but will run on computers down to 486DX.
Overall, I would highly recommend OptiVec to anyone in need of efficient and accurate mathematical calculations in any of the fields mentioned above. It is particularly useful for users working with Delphi 5, although those working with Delphi 2 or 4 can also download a Shareware version.
