Osmose is a software for creating multimedia presentations.
One of the most impressive features of Osmose is its ability to print presentations and visualize them on screen or via HTML on the web. If you're working on a Mac, you can even create PDF files from your presentations! The software is based on a research project that offers a new way to create digital documents. Osmose invites users to move away from WYSIWYG mode and to instead work on content, add multimedia files, and work on style using a graphic theme.
What's New in This Release: The latest iteration of Osmose comes with several exciting new features. Users can now set the eraser size, and support is provided for Ogg Vorbis. Additionally, pressing shift and clicking the mouse will unselect the element. New examples have also been added, which showcase some of the incredible presentations and themes that Osmose makes possible. Files created with version 0.1 can also be read by version 0.2. Furthermore, the UI.jar has been updated, and library updates for MP3 SPI and JLayer have been included.
For Mac users, it's worth noting that the Bold button now displays a "B," and good fonts are selected in HTML export. Issues like opening presentations containing an empty property and syncing drawing tools size with user choice have also been fixed in the latest update. Additionally, the URL now works in the tutorials, and the launcher name for Mac OS X has been corrected in the ReadMe files.
Overall, Osmose is an incredibly versatile and user-friendly tool for delivering engaging multimedia presentations. With its extensive range of features and stellar performance across a wide range of platforms, it's not hard to see why so many users swear by it.
