OSWA-Assistant is a wireless-auditing toolkit that can be downloaded for free. It is designed for IT-security experts as well as non-experts who want to assess the security of their wireless connections.
Designed with a focus on wireless auditing, the OSWA-Assistant can be used by anyone with or without operating systems. It is a standalone toolkit that covers Bluetooth, RFID, and WiFi (802.11) auditing, making it a comprehensive tool for all your wireless auditing needs.
Using the toolkit is simple. All you have to do is insert it into your computer's CD-ROM and make it boot from it. Technical professionals will find the traditional menu-driven approach very easy to use, thanks to the intuitive arrangement of the menus.
Non-technical home-owners and SOHO users are also catered for, thanks to the ActivityMap™ help system. This system helps non-technical or non-IT-security professionals to conduct a basic security test to determine and prove whether or not their wireless networks are secure. The ActivityMap™ provides a framework that guides the user through the process of securing the network.
We hope to empower end-users by providing a means for them to audit and prove if their networks are vulnerable, reducing their exposure to cyber attacks. By helping the man-on-the-street secure their wireless network, we aim to ensure an overall national wireless security defence posture improvement, making it more challenging for hackers to exploit vulnerabilities.
