Oxy-gnome is an icon theme built from Oxygen icon theme, featuring custom icons for the missing ones in GNOME. It enables users to enhance GNOME's aesthetic appeal by integrating with their system effortlessly.
oxy-gnome comes in two versions: Full theme and Full theme - small. The former uses full resolution SVGs to create smaller icons like those at 16x16-24x24. The latter uses SVGs designed for lower resolutions, resulting in less detailed icons with darker outlines that are usually more distinguishable.
Note that some custom icons still use higher resolution images, like the icon for a hard drive, but the developer intends to fix this in the future if people are interested in the theme.
The SVGs are provided separately because of their size. If you'd like, you can download them and extract them into your ~/.icons/ directory - the theme will automatically use them if a required size is missing.
To install, simply download the version you want, extract it to your home directory, go to System -> Preferences -> Appearance, customize the theme, select 'oxy-gnome' under 'Icons', and enjoy!
In summary, oxy-gnome is a beautiful GNOME icon theme based on Oxygen, with custom icons for any missing. It's easy to install, and the two versions offer different levels of detail to suit your preferences. Give your GNOME a fresh look with oxy-gnome!
