Virtual CDs are just files on your hard disk - no possibility to loose, no dust, no scratches or rifts, no need to search for necessary CD title.
CD-ROM Emulator can create up to 23 virtual CD-drives. Due to original emulation technology virtual devices are treated by every application and even operating system as usual physical CD-drive. With so many virtual CD-drives you can simultaneously work with several CD-based applications (e.g. encyclopedia, maps, games, dictionaries, translators etc.) and even listen to favorite music.
Virtual CDs you use in CD-ROM Emulator are actually just image files of real CDs and DVDs. With CD-ROM Emulator you can create these images in following ways:
- copy the contents of real CDs or DVDs, almost all formats are supported
- build image of virtual CD from images of separate tracks (audio or data tracks)
- compose data CD from selected files and folders
When creating data tracks compression is possible, this will reduce the size of image file. When creating audio tracks from Audio CD you can use special option 'jitter correction' to enhance quality of sound, also you can use any audio codec installed in you operating system to compress audio image.
You can use RAW read mode to overcome most of copy-protections of CDs/DVDs. Import and export functions of the program allow exchanging track images between CD-ROM Emulator and most CD-burning software (and any other application supporting ISO format of data track image).
