Pardus Live CD is a bootable version of the Pardus National Operating System, allowing users to experience the features of the OS without installation.
Some of the notable features of the Pardus Live CD include the Linux (2.6.10) Kernel, the KDE 3.3.2 Desktop Environment, office tools such as OpenOffice.org 1.1.4, Internet tools, multimedia-graphic tools, and games. Additionally, there are auxiliary tools like the experimental COMAR configuration manager and TASMA.
Upon starting up the desktop environment, the Kaptan Masaüstü Desktop Manager will guide you through setting your wallpaper and mouse preferences. On the Pardus Desktop, you'll find icons for Starting Up, Devices, My Documents, Pardus Desktop Sharing, and Trash. Clicking on the Devices icon will display available storage devices and allow you to access files on those devices. The default username for Pardus Live CD is "uludag," and the default and root user passwords are also "uludag." When using the console through the "run command" feature or locking the screen, you'll need to input this password.
