PBXpress is a cloud-based VoIP software that allows users to replace traditional PBX systems with an IP network. It provides call recording and connection at a lower cost compared to traditional systems. The software enables phone provisioning and connects all devices through an IP network.
What’s more, all system configuration is easily done from your web browser, making it super convenient for users. In addition to its array of new and exciting features, PBXpress is known for the reliability of its traditional telephony service. If there is ever any problem with your internet connection, PSTN fallback is automatically engaged, and the call is then routed via one of the telco phone lines.
Another notable feature of PBXpress is its ability to record every conversation you make through it. This can come in handy if you are worried about who made all those calls to the Dominican Republic or if you need to analyze whether your new salesperson is doing the right thing on the phone. All conversations made through PBXpress are recorded and stored on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM in a format that can be played back on any computer.
Have you ever tried to use a residential VoIP company's service in your office, only to find that you couldn’t get any audio? Chances are your firewall was too strict, disallowing network traffic to pass through. PBXpress solves this issue by acting as a bridge for VoIP calls, eliminating these types of problems.
PBXpress comes in the form of a bootable CD. To run it, you must burn it as an ISO image file, not as a data file. Once you have burned the CD, boot your PC from it. Sometimes, you may need to access your computer's BIOS setup (press Del or F2 immediately after restarting your computer) to set CD-ROM as the first boot device. Once your PC boots from the CD, you will see PBXPress graphical user interface accompanied by an on-screen emulator of the actual PBXPress box LCD. If your CD burns successfully, you will see a progress bar. After the initial phase finishes, you will see an IP address. Point your Web browser to the IP, and you're ready to start using PBXpress!
