Pclock is a powerful analog clock software with personalized pixmaps option. It caters to customized visual display preferences.
However, one current limitation of the app is that the clock hands are drawn within the mask of the background XPM file. But don't worry, the app is quite easy to build. You can simply edit src/Makefile and run 'make'. For further instructions, use the 'pclock --help' command.
Please note, this app has been primarily tested with Linux and Window Maker on a high-color display. However, it should work on 8-bit displays as well, as long as the backgrounds used come with small numbers of colors.
One interesting feature that you can take advantage of is running multiple clocks in different time zones. Simply use the following command for each clock: env TZ=< timezone > pclock. Remember to replace < timezone > with the name of the time zone you want to set. You can find the time zones on your computer in /usr/share/zoneinfo, and one example is "US/Pacific". However, beware that Window Maker may not remember the command correctly, so you may need to edit your config files by hand to add back the "env TZ=.." part.
Overall, pclock is an amazing app for those who want to customize their clock-watching experience. With its unique features and easy usage, it's definitely worth checking out!
