Pea-Peach provides a graphical interface for the PEA software. It simplifies the user's task of compressing and securing files through its intuitive visual display.
The software also features Peach, Pea's graphical frontend program, allowing for an even more user-friendly experience. Peach is constantly improving, and the latest release includes a few upgrades such as the ability to save job definition scripts as plain text. These scripts can also be used as a starting point for composing Pea-Peach related scripts.
In this new release, several minor fixes and interface improvements have been implemented, improving the overall functionality of the software. A bug where CRC64 was only partially saved has been fixed, and it is now recommended to update Pea for better performance.
Notably, this version of Pea was built with Lazarus 0.9.18, and the package for all Windows versions and the package for 2K through XP are now unified in a single build for all Win32 versions. The Linux GTK1 build has also been released as a gzipped tar archive.
Overall, Pea is a top-notch archiving software with excellent security features and flexible options.
