PekSystray is software that acts as a dockapp for the notification area or system tray.
Installation of PekSystray is quite straightforward, with the `configure' shell script guessing correct values for various system-dependent variables used during compilation. A `Makefile' is then created in each directory of the package. If you need to do something unusual to compile the package, you should try to send diffs or instructions to the address given in the `README,' so they can be considered for the next release.
Running `configure' takes a while, while it prints messages that let you know which features it is checking for. Once you have configured the package, you can type `make' to compile it, optionally running any self-tests that come with it by typing `make check.' You can then type `make install' to install the programs, data files, and documentation.
This release of PekSystray will only allocate necessary memory, allowing for more efficient resource management. The new software also provides `--width' and `--height' options, replacing `--vertical' and `--square', with `--multiple' as the default option. If you encounter any issues with application icons being in the wrong place, such as 0,0, these bugs have now been fixed.
