A software tool that checks code adherence to the Python style guide, ensuring consistent and readable code.
Once you have installed pep8, you can run it on your files or directory. The command line output provides you with a list of the errors, along with their line numbers and exact locations in the code where those errors happened. Furthermore, you can make pep8 show you the source code for each error and the relevant text from PEP 8.
Pep8 provides a variety of options that allow you to configure how the program should work. For example, you can display how often each error was found, exclude specific file patterns or error types, and run regression tests. There's also short built-in help on the command line that provides you with additional information about the pep8 options.
