PHP Prayer Board is a prayer request management software that enables users to gather, sort, and present requests for prayers.
Installation of the PHP Prayer Board is quick and easy. Firstly, it is recommended that the necessary requirements, such as the web server, PHP 4, and database, are in place. Next, users must download PHP Prayer Board, unpack the files and copy them onto their server's drive. A common location for the software is in the "/prayerb" folder. The next step is to modify the 'Include/pb_config.php' file to set the correct hostname, username, and password for the user's database. Those variables include the $cfg['mysql_host'], which is the hostname, the $cfg['mysql_user'], which is the user-name for accessing the database, and the $cfg['mysql_password'], which is the password for accessing the database. Lastly, the user also needs to specify the name of the database they want to access using the $cfg['mysql_database'] variable.
If the user plans to install multiple copies of the PHP Prayer Board, they can create a new value for $cfg['mysql_prefix'] for each installation. Also, if the user wishes to customize the software, they can insert the code into an already designed site by setting the $bConfig value to true and following the instructions available in the 'Customization' link.
The software comes with an Administrator Interface, which handles all other variables. If the user is using a User Name system, they can access this by logging into their site and clicking on the 'Admin Interface' link. Otherwise, they will need to access the page by going directly to /pb_admin.php. For any other help beyond the available files, users can visit the forums by following the link to the left.
