Pondus is a weight tracking software written in Python that helps manage personal weight goals. It keeps a record of the user's body weight progress.
Pondus can be initiated either through the command line by typing 'pondus' or from the menu of your desktop environment. It provides several command line options such as showing the program's version number with '–version' and a help message by typing '-h' or '--help.' You can also read data from a specific location using the --input=FILE option.
By default, Pondus stores the user data in ~/.pondus/datasets.xml and automatically saves it to this file on exit. This means you don't need to worry about manually saving the data you enter.
All the essential functions are available via the toolbar or keyboard/mouse shortcuts. The following shortcuts are currently used: CTR-a to add new dataset, CTR-d or Delete to delete the selected dataset, CTR-e, Return, or Double-click to edit the selected dataset, and CTR-p to plot weight vs time.
To enhance your user experience, the add dialog initializes with the current date and the last measured weight. You can modify both the date and weight fields by pressing ' ' or '-' to increment/decrement them by one day or 0.1kg, respectively. Moreover, if you press 'Enter' in any of the entry fields, it is equivalent to clicking the 'OK'-button.
Overall, Pondus is an excellent software for keeping track of your weight effortlessly, and it's fast, lightweight, and easy to use.
