The ppDrag software is a jQuery plugin that offers users a Drag&Drop interface similar to jQuery UI's Draggable.
To use ppDrag, you have to include jQuery by adding the following script in your HTML code: < script src="jquery.js" type="text/javascript" >< /script >. Then add ppDrag by including the script < script src="jquery.ppdrag.js" type="text/javascript" >< /script >. Activate ppDrag by running a simple jQuery code. For example: $(document).ready(function() { $("#element1").ppdrag(); });
Note that ppDrag is not compatible with elements that have static positioning. The plugin will only work correctly when using the relative, absolute, or fixed positioning. If you need to customize options, use the optional 4th and 5th steps. To set options, simply modify the ppDrag function in the jQuery code. For example: $(document).ready(function() { $("#element2").ppdrag({ zIndex: 1000 }); }); To deactivate ppDrag, simply use the "destroy" parameter.
Supported options include zIndex, which sets the z-index of the element while being dragged, and stop, which is a function called when dragging stops.
This release features improvements such as the correct cancellation of IE's default event action, updated jQuery UI version used in demo (1.5.2), and more optimization that makes ppDrag faster than before. Callbacks, particularly "stop," now receive the element as "this" and as an argument, similar to jQuery UI Draggable.
