Prasi is a Perl or PHP-based single-sign-on system that functions similarly to MS Passport. It allows users to access various scripts by logging in once.
This software is available in seven languages, making the downloads process much easier. Prasi originally started as an in-house tool, primarily meant to support our internal-use web applications. One of the tools eventually got publicised, the Wefis, which led us to release Prasi as an open-source project. Although, Prasi might bear similarities to other existing open-source projects, it remains unique and is widely used by different software brands.
There are two ways in which you can use Prasi. Firstly, it can help all CGI (Perl or PHP) scripts on any server perform user management without any hassle. With one Perl procedure call, browsing users can be identified or challenged, and it's easily customisable. On the second level, Prasi helps scripts keep track of user data, such as profiles and provides a way to share this information with other Prasi-enabled applications seamlessly. This approach gives scripts the power of mySQL and other types of databases without the need to manage the data themselves.
End-users will appreciate the ease that comes with using Prasi, with just one login and password; all Prasi-enabled applications instantly know who the user is and customise content accordingly. Prasi ensures that users have a smooth transition between applications, enabling developers to create more authentic user experiences.
In conclusion, the latest version of Prasi comes with several features that include improved PHP interface and minor bug fixes. These upgrades provide you with a better browsing experience and ensure that your data is secure. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned programmer, Prasi has different tools that give you a better and intuitive connection with your web applications.
