This is a Python library that is open source and designed for generating dataset of protein structures.
When you're generating a protein structure dataset, it's not uncommon to feel limited by the migration of information from one tool to another or by the management of data. You have to be competent in handling these tools separately, and that can be frustrating.
But with ProDaMa, researchers can focus on generating specialized datasets by doing the following:
1. Retrieve protein data from multiple remote sources
2. Organize and store them in a local database
3. Generate specialized datasets according to your user-defined criteria
The Intelligent Agents and Soft Computing (IASC) group is responsible for developing ProDaMa. The group is a research group of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) of the University of Cagliari (Italy).
