ProSum is a protective program that operates through the terminal to secure your files, sys_call_table, and IDT in a similar manner to tripwire.
For Non-Linux systems, you can disable sys_call_table and IDT support. ProSum is very flexible, as it could be run on any UNIX system with file protect mode. The program was specifically designed for the Linux x86 platform, where the kernel doesn't have LKM support or any type of protection against load and unload LKM, thus making it more secure.
This amazing software comes packed with many useful features for your convenience. For example, it offers IDT, Kernel Symbols, and Syscall hacking protection through /dev/kmem for Linux x86, and developing protection for Linux sparc. It also provides file protection in a Tripwire way on any UNIX POSIX compliant.
The software allows you to encrypt your database with Blowfish algorithm on any UNIX platform. You can use the software to recover files that are protected from a bastion/secure host. Additionally, it offers Syscall hacking by the method described on protection.
ProSum comes with many improvements, including translated INSTALL.es to English on INSTALL.en, support for extended flags on Linux, and a password requirement to run the program. Users can now specify random seed for ivec to encrypt BBDD, and encryption support works well on Linux, *BSD, and Solaris.
The software has many bug fixes, with improved internal code restructure. Additionally, there are many added features, such as protection against kernel symbols hacking on Linux x86, a unique bastion host to protect files from different hosts, and added protection for files that start with a point (.). With ProSum, you can protect your files and enjoy top-level security on your UNIX system.
