ProteinGlimpse is a free widget that helps visualize macromolecules from the Protein Data Bank.
Initially inspired by the FirstGlance in Jmol project, ProteinGlimpse was specifically created by Jaime Fernández Vera for his master's degree in bioinformatics project. With years of experience and knowledge, he has developed an amazing widget that is not only user-friendly, but also provides information on macromolecules.
The widget has examples of macromolecules that are ideal for anyone who is not familiar with them. You can have a glimpse of macromolecules such as insulin hormone, DNA double helix (B form), Potassium channel (a membrane protein), Transfer RNA (Phe), HIV protease with inhibitor, and Inosine Monophosphate Dehydrogenase in complex with Mycophenolic Acid.
To use ProteinGlimpse, all you need is an internet connection. Download it for free today and start exploring macromolecules like never before.
